The use of languages in the EU institutions, bodies, offices and agencies
Public consultation by the European Ombudsman, open until 30 September 2018
The European Ombudsman is conducting a public consultation to promote discussion on how the EU institutions can best communicate with the public while balancing the need to respect and support linguistic diversity against administrative and budgetary constraints.
To launch this discussion, the Ombudsman has invited the public to reply to a series of 10 questions, which address the rules and practices on language restrictions, the use of languages on EU websites, and the use of languages in public consultations.
Responses will be accepted until 30 September 2018.
